This 3 km (1.86 miles) swim around the city
island Noordereiland in Rotterdam. Known as the largest
artificially created harbor of the world has the following
beautifull course:


Start:
The swim starts upstream under the Erasmusbrug (left to the
Noordereiland) This bridge for motor vehicles, cyclists,
pedestrians, trams has a total span of 808 metre and a 139 metre-high
asymmetrical pylon, earning the bridge its nickname of "The
Swan". The bridge connects the northern and southern parts of
Rotterdam.
Around 850 m. the swimmers will swim under the Koninginnebrug which connects the Noordereiland with the South part of the city.
850 - 1000 m.:
From 850 - 1000 m. the swimmers will swim over the
Willemsspoortunnel through which thousands of trains
transport everyday almost a million people from the southern
part of the Netherlands to the northern parts and v.v.. After
1000 m. the swimmers will swim under the old railroadbridge the
Hef which is a monument nowadays.
1500 m.:
Around 1500 m. the swimmers turn the Noordereiland and now they
swim downstream to the finish, the Erasmusbridge.
2000 m.:
Around 2000 m. the swimmers swim under the red Willemsbrug.
This bridge for motor vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians connects
the northern part of the city with the Noordereiland and has a
total span of 318 meters.
3000 m:
The finish is at the same place as the start The
Erasmusbridge.
